CommonHealth is taking the last two weeks of August off. When it returns on 8/31, the blog will be under new management. I’m taking a 10 month leave from WBUR. Rachel Zimmerman, a former health and medicine reporter with the Wall Street Journal, will run the blog. You can reach her at zimmerman08@gmail.com.
Thanks to all, Martha Bebinger

Martha-
Enjoy the end of summer, and your 10 month leave! It will surely be interesting to see what Ms Zimmerman does in her upcoming role as “blog runner”.
Here’s a quick bit of summer health reform reading for anyone who hasn’t yet seen Thom Hartmann’s August 16 letter “Dear President Obama” (it’s short and excellent)

For those who might want to do more than read about reform and actually take action to shape the outcome, this section of Campaign For America’s Future website is a veritable treasure trove

My best to you Martha and good luck! Excellent work on the blog and covering health care in general. See you when you return!

Martha,
Whether it was listening to your stories on the air or reading the blog you created, following your work was critical to anyone who wanted to know what was really happening to healthcare reform in Massachusetts. Best of luck on your sabbatical, and best of luck to WBUR trying to fill the many shoes you’ve worn.
