BOSTON, Mass. – June 29, 2007 – On Sunday, Massachusetts becomes the first state in the US, and the third government in the world, to require that most adults have health insurance.

Ron Norton hopes to lead a Boston Tea Party style rebellion against the state’s Health Insurance Mandate.

About 60,000 people, who earn too much to qualify for subsidized coverage but not enough to buy it on their own, will be exempt.

But everyone else will face a penalty if they don’t have insurance by the end of the year. WBUR’s Martha Bebinger checks in with a few uninsured residents to find out what they are doing about the deadline.

To Ron, Dave and others – There are countless people from all walks of life now coming to a similar conclusion about this fake reform law; they want to help overturn it and to take part in creating reforms that will actually provide healthcare to all by spending our healthcare dollars responsibly and fairly.

Please know that when you share details on the Citizen’s Rebellion they will be disseminated far and wide. People far beyond Massachusetts will want to know about it, too, as they are seeing through the massive “spin job” granted by the media to the Mass. law and are trying to stop the “Massachusetts Mandate Poison” (as folks in CA, MI and NM have called it) from spreading to their states…

How tragic that we good citizens of Massachusetts have allowed this fake reform to be foisted upon ourselves and upon the rest of the country… Not for long, though.

P.S. You can contact me at ann@defendhealth.org
    Thank you.

    Ron,

Was wondering when someone in Boston would do this. Thank you, Ron.

Can you post a way to contact you? We have a massive project(s) in the works and are also in the process of base-building. We are on the other side of MA.
