Former Governor Mitt Romney’s top adviser on domestic policy makes the case for Romney’s health care record here. Former Missouri Senator Jim Talent says Romney is the “innovative” candidate and the only one who has “done something” on health care reform. The post and comments spell out the dilemna Romney faces with conservatives who are wary of the individual mandate. As a political issue…is Romney’s health care record helping or hurting the candidate?

Mitt Romney is a Social Darwinist carpetbagger, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He will say anything to get elected, and appears to have no real convictions. The people of Massachusetts need to let the nation know that this man was bored with the governor’s job ten minutes after he was elected, and that he unleashed the beast that is Chapter 58.
Ron and other interested parties – Good points made by Ron; thanks for giving voice to my position on Romney and Chap 58.
Check out the “Romney Research Center” website resource at the below link. It’s a very serious project by politically savvy folks that’s billed as “A Media Resource, a production of http://www.BlueMassGroup.com

“As a political issue…is Romney’s health care record helping or hurting the candidate?”
For sure it’s helping Romney, because most people at this time don’t see it as a con and a sweetheart deal with the insurance companies.
Just so you know Romney said “let the NEXT governor change this law some or all of it” ( I’m not a Romney fan) but the current Governor Deval Patrick can change this law today if he see’s fit. We the people must let him know we will not accept this sham law under no circumstances. I am not an idiot and don’t like being treated like one.
Well, considering Romney just backed away from the insurance mandate in his prescription for the rest of the country… I think is now seeing the Massachusetts model is going to be a political loser when it actually goes into effect in 2008 just as the race starts to heat up.
Without the insurance mandate, this so called Massachusetts “health care reform” is just a little tinkering around the edges to give less health coverage to more poorer people by squeezing more money out of them and raising taxes on everyone else too (or is that “fees” now in the political newspeak?). And the mandate itself is just going to be a huge tax increase which is regressive applied on everyone else, there is no upside for Romney.
If he squeaks through the primary the only way he gets elected is if people just fear what Hillary Clinton would do as president more than what he would do.
the point I am trying to make is Romney is long gone so the current Governor Patrick can and should put a stop to this train wreck called “healthcare reform” he is in charge of this State now. Why do we never hear from him? I’v heard when citizens call to complain his people HANG UP on them. this is not how to help citizens with their problems that the State created.
